Mont Tremblant is already established as a major tourist destination with a highly evolved service industry and a growing rental market. In 1991, the resort welcomed 400,000 visitors (of which 5% come from outside of Canada), while today, the number of visitors stands at 2.3 million (of which 40% come from outside Canada).

In 2004, Intrawest launched a 10 year/CA$1billion expansion programme to develop Mont Tremblant Versant Soleil and Versant Nord resorts - the largest tourism project currently underway in North America. Additionally the Government of Canada and Government of Québec have committed a further $95 Million to develop the necessary public infrastructure and in December 2006 Intrawest announced a further $7 million project to establish a casino at Versant Soleil.

Once these projects are completed, Tremblant will be able to receive more than 4.5 million visitors a year from everywhere in the world, including 50% from outside Canada. Besides skiing and golfing—the resort’s main attractions—visitors will be able to choose from a range of 4 season activities totaling nearly 200, offered at or around the resorts.
